Getting It Out
So my new hoop didn't come today. Sad face. I was looking forward to it so much! So I came home and just had to hoop a teensy bit before my workout. I made a video to show the small amount of progress I made. I managed to transition to my chest, which I have difficulty with. And I don't trust myself lol. There isn't much room in the apartment, so I didn't do a lot. Enjoy!
PS. Hooping is a great core exercise, and it's fun! You can also work your legs, arms, chest, and back.

Happy Fourth of July!
Of course I'm working today, so no bbq for me. But for everyone outside, a few things to remember...
Drink plenty of water, especially if you are drinking alcohol. Dehydration leads to serious health issues. Tastiest way to hydrate: fruit!
Keep cool. No need to have a heat stroke if you have a pool, or play with the kids in sprinklers.
Apply sunscreen. The sun can severly damage your skin, causing wrinkles, freckles, moles & CANCER! & don't forget to reapply.
Have a fun & safe holiday!!!!

Hundred Pushup Challenge!
I'm currently doing a challenge along with my daily workout regimen. The goal is 100 pushups (duh). It is a gradual process, and is against yourself. Every day you do more. And it's good for your body and mind, so why wouldn't you do it?!

Work In Progress
I am not perfect.
I have flaws.
I have doubts.
I see "trouble spots" in the mirror.
I have days where I say "I can't, I'm tired, I hurt".
Doesn't everyone?
It's time to push harder. Don't be afraid to realize you aren't perfect. But you need to be afraid of not working towards perfection. Even if you never completely reach the level you think is perfect, someone else will always look at you and think "I want to be like them". If you are always a work in progress, you will never be let down.
Now for some exciting news: By the end of this month, I will be a BeachBody coach!!! They are the company that comes out with those awesome workout programs (P90X, TurboFire, Insanity, etc.) I'm very excited to be part of their team, and I'm excited to motivate others to reach their goals. If I can help even one person feel better about their body and their health, it will totally be worth it.

Feelings...
Obviously I am human. I get hurt, feel sad, am unsure of myself. So, I will share my experience today, and hope someone will take something away from it.
I convinced my boyfriend to do a TurboFire workout with me. The whole time he's telling me not to stop, to push harder, that my kicks aren't right. In my mind, that means I'm not good enough, and that my best isn't enough. I now know he was trying to help me. But at the time it sucked. I'm still fighting to push through that feeling.
If anyone ever makes you feel that way, DON'T LISTEN. Even if they are trying to help, if it makes you feel bad in any way, turn them off. Listen to yourself, and your body. Only you know how far you can push yourself, and it's up to you to do that.

Hoop It!
Yeah.... about this video.... it sucks. It's my first video, in my second week of hooping. It took me a whole week to see what I have here. So please don't judge, I am getting better.
101 in 1001
I need to put this down in writing, or I'll never do it. I really want to do the 101 things in 1001 days challenge. It's like a bucket list, but has a deadline. I will be compiling it in the next few days, and will DEFINITELY post it.
I have been practicing hula hooping, and will be posting a video soon. Plus, I am following in my coach's footsteps and doing the Hundred Pushups challenge (not technically a challenge but it is to me lol) If anyone would like to do this with me, there is an Ipod app for it (100 pushups free).
Also, I restarted my TurboFire program, because I felt like I waited too long to start phase 2. BLEH!!!! But I need to get my mind right, and stay motivated. I've been working on getting my eating habits to a good place as well.
I have been toying with the idea of becoming a BeachBody coach. I think it would be fun to help people get in shape, and to show them that anyone can be healthy (I can't run, and love soda, but I still get my butt up and do it!) If I get even one person who wants me as a coach, I will be thrilled.
Alright, done for now, time to cook dinner (fish and fries, yum)
